7:30 pm - 12:00 am
We proudly present Mr. Frank Montgomery as the speaker the June meeting’s main event. Frank is employed by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as an Equal Opportunity Specialist. His duties include, but are not limited to, investigating complaints of alleged Title VIII violations, conciliations, program monitoring, and conducting education and outreach training. Mr. Montgomery is also a licensed real estate agent as well as a member of the Metropolitan St. Louis Regional Fair Housing Collaborative.
The presentation at our meeting will highlight the latest in fair housing laws, including issues concerning service animals in rental properties and how service animals are defined according to the ADA and the Fair Housing Act. He will also cover the criminal exclusion policy as it relates to HUD’s Public Housing and owners of other federally assisted housing and address any questions that the audience may have about fair housing laws and issues.
We hope to see you there!
