Michele Mraz and Bill Hurston will provide an overview of what they will be teaching at the QuickBooks Seminar we are hosting on January 30, 2016. Michele is a practicing Enrolled Agent and a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor who has been using the software since 1998. Michele is currently employed by Coughlin, Donovan, Niehaus & Scherele, PC. Bill is a CPA with his Planning and Accounting firm HEALTHYBizRx. He was named one of 7 finalists for the AICPA’s “Innovative Practitioner of the Year” award. Bill is also a certified Behaviors and Values Analysts and a certified Leadership Coach, Teacher and Speaker with the John C. Maxwell Team. Katharyn B. Davis is the managing member of Katharyn B Davis, LLC, a St. Louis based law firm.  Kathie and her three associates practice in the areas of landlord/tenant, foreclosure, commercial litigation and real estate law.  They represent creditors and real estate investors.

Kathie has been practicing law for thirty years.  She is a graduate of the Washington University School of Law.  She will speak to us about current landlord legislation, including new bills in the Missouri legislature that affect landlords.  She will also update us on the lawsuit against St. Louis County’s landlord licensing ordinance, and discuss whether or not municipal housing inspections violate our Constitutional rights.

Kathie will give us a brief overview of the foreclosure and eviction process in Missouri.  She will also discuss leases and screening new tenants.  She hopes to bring some of the other lawyers from her firm with her, and all will welcome questions from our members.
